Silly Faces, Se Me Go!

The other night I went into Landon's room where my three men were playing on the floor and looking at books.  Somehow they stumbled across a book called Silly Faces, See Me Go.  Landon got this book when he was a little fellow.  I can so remember reading it to him!  Luke thought it was the funniest thing when Bobby and Landon put their faces in the book and talked to him.  He laughed and laughed.  Of course I had to run and get my camera to capture the funny moment.  Here are my three crazy men taking turns looking through the pages of Silly Faces, See Me Go.

See Me Go in my Car!!
See Me Go in my Boat!!
See Me Go on my Bike!!
These are some silly faces!!!!!!!!!!

Batman vs. Michael Jordan vs. Landon

I have always said that Landon was "ALL BOY!"  From the beginning it was balls, men, sports, hunting and whatever else little boys are made of!  A lot of times Landon will get off in his own little playing world and all you hear is sound effects that sound like punching, kicking, and fighting.  I will look over at my Landon and he will have two different men in each hand and they are always fighting each other.  It doesn't matter if he has two good guys, two bad guys, or a good guy and a bad guy they still like to fight each other.  He always pauses to get mine or Bobby's attention to ask us who we think is winning or going to win.  I will always pick one and he will tell me if I am right or wrong and then go on about his business.  Well the other night Landon was punching and kicking away with his Batman and Michael Jordan figurine.  I noticed that all of a sudden there was a silence for a couple of minutes and I went over to Landon.  It looks like the men won this time!!

 Sleepy boy!
I think Batman was winning!!!

New Year's 2011

Most people celebrate the New Years with a glass of Champagne and a cheers!  Me and Grandma Sue Sue celebrated with four little munchkins, pizza and a pitcher of sprite at the bowling alley!!  I will have to say me and Grandma Sue Sue were really brave to take out four kids with just the two of us.  After it was all said and done I wouldn't have had it any other way.  We all had a blast bowling and playing video games.

Landon is making sure he has his contraption aligned with the arrows so that he can hope to knock them all down with one shot!
Peyton is watching and hoping for the best as his ball travels down the alley
Lexi watches and "strikes" a pose after her bowl.
Connor was getting a little tired at the end but he hung in there with the others like a champ!
Will Connor knock down those last two pins?  It looks like the ball is headed right for them!!

Christmas Card

I absolutely love to get Christmas cards with pictures on them.  It is awesome to watch the kids grow year over year.  This year Grandma Sue Sue bought Landon and Luke matching pajamas.  I thought they would be perfect for our 2010 Christmas card!  Michelle and myself went out in my yard and took some snapshots.  I loved how they turned out!!

2010 Christmas and then some SNOW!!

It is Christmas every time you let God love others through you...yes, it is Christmas every time you smile at your brother and offer him your hand.  --Mother Teresa

Christmas is the best time of year for me and my family.  It is a time to reflect on the everlasting love that God has for us and to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ!!  Christmas is a time to spend with family baking goodies, making gingerbread houses, singing Christmas songs, and waiting on
Santa!!  It is just a fun time of the year!!  Landon never really has any specifics for Santa besides a few toys that he sees on commercials (advertising does work) and this was Luke's first Christmas.  There's not much a 9 month old  really needs!  This year Landon woke up a little later than I expected to all the gifts from Santa.  He was really excited to see a Wii with several games, his pillow pet, and ECU football helmet and jersey!
Landon holding up his bullets for his gun.  He was excited about these as you can see!

Here is a picture of his Wii, games, and ECU helmet

Here is Luke with all of his Santa gifts.  He had no idea what was going on!

Landon and Luke on Christmas morning!

Santa brought us all something that we were not expecting which was several inches of snow.  We were so close to having a White Christmas.  That would have been awesome!!  We were still happy with it being one day late because we had a chance to eat lots and lots of snow cream!

Brrrrr....... Baby its Cold outside!!!!!

Christmas at the Denton's

Once again it is so tough to get pictures these days because I feel like I always have a child in one hand and my other hand is taking care of one of the other 10 things that I am trying to do.  I did manage to pull the camera out after all the presents were open to get a few snap shots of the great grandchildren.
Here is Audrey making a cute crazy face at the camera
Luke found a baby bottle about his size.  Not exactly what he thought it was going to be but he did enjoy chewing on it!
Believe it or not I got all of the grand kids in one picture!  What a nice looking bunch of kids!
Grandma Shirley showing Luke his new Leap Frog book that aunt Elaine and Uncle Wayland gave him.  He loves that little book.
Derek and Scott relaxing on the couch after all the gift opening was over.
I cannot believe how fast Macon has grown up.  He looks like a little man.

Marbles + Parade = Fun Day

A couple of weeks ago Landon, Luke, Peyton, Connor,  Michelle, and Myself headed to Raleigh for Jacob's 3rd birthday party at the Marbles kids Museum.  For those of you that have never experienced the Marbles museum I would definitely recommend going really soon!!  It was sooo awesome not only for the kids but for the Mommy's and Daddy's as well.  I love going places that make me feel like a kid again(check out the hockey photo below and you can tell!) The boys played their little hearts out and of course are ready to go back already.  Landon has a field trip planned in March to go back to Marbles and you guessed it I signed up for that trip :)  After the Party we headed home and stopped in Snow Hill for the annual Christmas Parade.  Trudy B always opens her house to guest for appetizers and the kids love it because they can walk right out her front door and already be there for all of the action.

Landon practicing his surfing skills in one of the many sports areas at Marbles.
Luke had most of his fun play and chasing the green and yellow balls that were laying all over the ground
Here us is one of the only pictures that I got of Jacob.  The older the kids get the harder it is to get a photo because I can't catch them!
Connor landed in one of the boats where he could catch a fish or two for dinner!!

I found this Dr. Seuss quote on the wall and I love it!  The Marbles Museum brings out the real "You" in "YOU"  As you can tell I turned into a big kid on the hockey arena.  I was playing the goalie and I had all kinds of pucks coming at me from all over!  I think I met some future Hockey players out there.
Peyton testing his skills on the surf board as well.
What is all the noise coming from??  All the kids are holding their ears because the siren from the firetrucks are sooo loud!
Landon, Peyton, Savannah, & Taylor just ohhing and ahhhing over something that is coming up in the parade
Here is the bright and shiny fire truck that has everyone closing their ears!
Luke and Connor have found some open arms to warm up in.  Luke just loved being in Kayley's arms for most of the day.  I think she loved it too!!
Elizabeth's dad is the new Mayor of Snow Hill.  I had to get a picture of Mr. Dennis riding along in that matchbox car!
Last but not least Mr. and Mrs. Santa to end the parade!  Wow what a great long day!!

Landon's First Christmas Play

This year Open Door Ministries put on a Christmas Play to celebrate the real meaning of Christmas! The Birth of Jesus Christ!  Each classroom had their own special part in the play and took turns on stage performing.  Landon's part was to be one of the Three Wise Men.  I was so proud of him!  Him and the other two wise men sang a song that went to the tune of "the Hillbilly's theme song." Here is a bit of the song that they sang.
Come and listen to the story about some Shepard boys
sitting on a hill doing Shepard chores
When up in the sky there was a bright light
and when they looked up they were filled with fright
It was sooo cute and He had one little speaking part during the song where he had to say "Terrified!"  I think he was a little terrified to say it but he made it through.  Landon says thanks to his fan club that came to watch him (Grandma SueSue, Papa, Grandaddy, Grandma Shirley, Mama, & Daddy)
Landon all dressed up as a Wise Man as he waits for his turn to go on stage

Landon's classmate Marky played Mary holding baby Jesus.  She did a great job!

Landon's buddy, Landon "Smith", played Joseph.

Xienne & Ashton were precious little angels

I think this is right before Landon said his little part.  I had to get this picture because he looks so little up against his classmate Justin.
Landon and his favorite Ms. Biggs after the play was done.
