Kendal is One!

One of my very good friend's little girl just turned One on Sept. 4th! She had the cutest birthday party. As you can tell by the cake they used a CandyLand theme for her party. Not only was this cake beatiful but it was affordable and delicous as well!!!

There's room for one more!!

Well the news is out and it is no longer a surprise..........We are expecting another child in April 2010. This news was totally a surprise to us at first but now that it has soaked in we are all excited to have another one on the way. Landon is really excited that he is going to be a big brother. Of course he says that he wants a lil' brother but I think he would be satisfied with a sister as well. I know for sure that this child was God's plan for our family. In my heart I have always wanted two children but I knew that if I had to plan a pregnancy then it would never happen. I was always justifying why I couldn't.... it wasn't the right time, I don't have enough time with one much less two, I just don't feel like getting big again (the list goes on and on)!! Well God disregarded all of those false toughts and listened to my heart!! I wish it was as easy for us to follow our hearts as it is for Jesus!! I will keep you all posted on the progress over the next 9 months!!

Pumpkin Fun!

Landon and Bobby had a good time carving the pumpkin that Grandaddy Steve picked out for us. I drew the face, Daddy carved, and Landon and Daddy did the cleaning. Landon making a Jack O Lantern face
Daddy's got a pumpkin head!!

Landon and Daddy proud of their finished product
Eww..... Whats all that in there dad?

Still Beach Bumming....

Here are some more fun pictures of Landon! Here he is doing his excited dance. Probably trying to make Peyton laugh!! Peyton thinks Landon is the funniest thing

Landon is trying to pull Taylor on her boogie board. We had fun pulling the kids around on their boards. When we all got tired they turned to each other for pulling.

Posted by PicasaI was trying to get a group picture of Landon, Peyton, Savannah, and Taylor on their boards. As you can see it was a real task trying to get them all on the same page. Landon was getting tired of the camera at this point.

Beach Bumming!

Me, Casey, Landon, Peyton, and Grandma Shirley headed to Atlantic Beach for a few days. Landon and Peyton had a great time playing in the sand and splashing in the ocean. Of course me and Casey got our fun out of taking pictures all day. We really had captured some great moments. Here is Casey Landon and Peyton playing in the waves. Landon borrowed the goggles from Mrs. Trudy's granddaughter, Taylor. You can't tell here but they were pink. I can't believe that he even put them on his head!!

This was a good close up of Landon. Looks like a Beach Bum! He said that he wanted to stay at the beach forever

Peyton getting his hands all sandy while digging a hole on the beach

Savannah, Blake, and Nick were at the beach too! Landon and Peyton & Savannah had a chance to play together almost all afternoon

River Days

Digging a hole in the sand with a bulldozer and dump truck
Me, Bobby, and Landon headed down to the family river cottage this weekend to relax and enjoy the sun! We invited some friends and family to join in on the fun and we had a blast. We all played in the sand & water, caught crabs with chicken tied to a string, went fishing, played ball, & most of all relaxed!! I played with my new toy (camera) all weekend and tried to capture Landon's every move. Here are just a few of my snapshots.

A Picture is Worth a Million Words!!!

So as you know from one of my earlier post I have been without a camera for a few months. Me and My Mom have been doing our research on digital SLR cameras and with the help of a wonderful sales rep from Best Buy I finally purchased a Nikon D-5000. Let me tell you .......I am IN LOVE with this camera!!!! I am a little overwhelmed with all that this camera has to offer but I am up to the challenge. I cannot wait to share with you the pictures that I have already taken and most of all the ones that have yet to be created!!! I feel like my passion and dream of becoming a photographer is slowly unfolding with every snapshot that I take!!!

No Camera... What am I going to do??

Well I am very saddened by the loss of my camera. It has officially kerplunked! I think that it got jealous at the beach when I was using my Aunts camera the entire time so it finally said good-bye. Actually when we got back from the beach Landon accidentally knocked it off of the counter top and it has barely been working ever since. So I'm now on the prowl for something new. I am looking for a semi-professional camera because I am really interested in learning to take some professional pictures. Taking pictures has always been a passion of mine. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on which camera I should try out?

It's Vacation Time!!

It's Vacation time and the Denton's spent last week at Emerald Isle! We had so much fun on the beach jumping the waves and making all kinds of things in the sand. Landon and Peyton were stuck together like glue and every minute they were awake they were going full force. What was most exciting to me was spending time together as a family. We had the Denton, Beaman, Kearney, Kessler, and Black families there, all together, at one time. Do you know how hard that is to do? Somehow we managed to get it done and we had a blast. The house that we stayed at was beautiful and definitely built for a family atmosphere. We all went and bought lottery tickets hoping to win enough money to buy it before we left but those plans fell through. Looks like we will have to wait til next year to go back! I hope you all enjoy some of the hundreds of pictures that we took!! I will be updating with more pictures at a later time.

Me and Grandaddy's Garden

OK, I love Watermelon and the only way that grandaddy can afford my watermelon habit was to plant a whole garden. We planted a garden last year and I had so much fun watching all the plants grow. Me and Grandaddy also planted cantaloupe, corn, tomatoes, strawberries, and sunflowers. I hope they turn out as good as they did last year!!

First me and Grandaddy had to make the rows so that we could drop the seeds in and cover them up

Here we are planting the watermelon seeds! Can't wait til I can eat one!!

Shelly's Birthday!!

May 9th Shelly turned 32! We celebrated her birthday with family and friends at Wimpies Oyster Bar. We had a great time spending time with all our friends!!

Bright Beginnings Graduation

My Little man is growing up too fast! It seems like yesterday we were putting him into daycare and now he is about to graduate to the four year old class. Next year is kindergarten! Where does the time go??? I was so proud of him at graduation. His class sang songs to the theme of solar system and aliens. They were so cute!! Here is a small clip of Landon singing with his class.

SAY CHEESE, SMILE........OR NOT?

Michelle, Connor, and Mrs. Melanie on the playground after we figured out that the pictures were impossible
*****************************************
It is spring time, sun's out, flowers are blooming, and it is perfect time to take pictures outside!! My sister Michelle has had Landon, Peyton, and Connor's pictures scheduled with Melanie Mansfield for over a year now. (Michelle is the planner of the family if you can't tell.) Well I wouldn't say that everything went as planned this time. We had three dressed up kids, high expectations (we love Mrs. Melanie's work), and no smiles. Let me explain a little....... Connor was hungry, Peyton wanted mommy, and Landon wanted Peyton to hang with him. It is so stressful when you can't get 2 three year olds and a 2 month old to get in line with each other..... What were we thinking?? Well of course I took my own pictures for memories...

We are so Proud of Daddy and Husband!!

Bobby and Pastor Larry praying with guys in the program
Bobby and Pastor Larry
I am so proud of my husband!!! April 26th, 2009 He preached his second sermon at Potters Wheel Ministries. He preached a message on doubt and fear and used Elijah as a powerful example of how even God's very own prophets encountered things in their lives which created doubt & fear within themselves. I know that we all encounter doubt and fear somewhere in our lives. We must look to our God for the strength and confidence so that we can overcome those obstacles. We must remember that we cannot face those fears in our own flesh but through God! I can't wait to see what God has in store for Bobby and our family. Stay tuned for his June 14th sermon update!!

Monkeys Aren't the Only Animals that Climb in Trees

Papa had the bright idea of climbing trees in the backyard. That is right up my alley so of course I was in!! Papa even climbed up to help me out so I wouldn't fall. I had a great time Sunday with Grandma Sue-Sue and Papa. We did a little bit of everything. Most of all we just played!!!

Papa Showing Me new Tricks!!

Mama and Daddy had to work Sunday so I spent the day with Grandma Sue-Sue and Papa. Me and Papa played outside for a long time. Grandma Sue Sue got a shot of me after I mastered the tree climbing. Thanks Grandma Sue-Sue and Papa for keeping me. I had so much fun!!

Future Baseball Pro

Mommy pulled out my new tee ball set that was given to me last year for my birthday. I wasn't quite big enough then but I am now!!! Me, Mom, and Dad have really enjoyed playing ball in the backyard. We take turns hitting, pitching, and getting each other out. I am so fast that they usually cannot catch up with me. Mommy writes, "Landon is really coordinated and can hit that ball. He amazes me more and more each day. He likes for me to chase after him and try to throw him out. Most of the time I miss but if I luck up and get him out he always pouts. Landon has been known to cheat a little by skipping the bases and taking short cuts. I can't wait until he starts playing with a real tee ball team. I can see me now hooting and hollering when my baby hits a home run!! Little boys are so much fun!!! Press Play to watch Landon at bat.

Going Green........

We had to spread out mulch first before we could plant the beautiful flowers. I wanted to use the big rake because I am a big boy. The stepping stones in the back were painted so that the kids could draw pictures on them with side walk chalk. I didn't last long because I really had a much better time playing on the playground.

Going Green......

Mommy's work does a Project Green each year. They decided to spruce up the Partnership for Children's playground by building a butterfly garden. Here I am helping Summer plant some flowers that will attract all the butterflies so that the children can see them fly. I was a lot of help and Mrs. Summer was really patient with me. She has kids too!!
