Shower me with Love!!

So as most of you know we are still waiting on Addison Leigh to come into this world but not until after the showers of course!  A few weeks ago we headed to Burlington for Casey's first shower given by my Aunt Patti and my Cousin Lindsey.  It was the cutest shower and perfect for Mrs Addison Leigh.  The decorations just fit Casey perfectly simple & plain but cute as a button!!
These pink daisies were the center pieces on each table.
Aunt Patti pinning on Casey's corsage.  She owns a florist in Burlington so she is good at doing that sort of thing!!

How cute is this cake?  They had candy displayed all around the cake that matched the colors of the cake.  Such a cute idea.

Happy Fathers Day!

"Blessed indeed is the man who hears many gentle voices call him father"

All to often we take for granted a father's love be it our earthly father or our heavenly father.  We just know that no matter what, that love will always be there because that is what Fathers do!  We can always count on our father's to show that tough love that in the heat of the moment does not feel good but, when looking back we knew it was the best thing for us.  Something about fathers and their children, they just have an unspoken love that only they know.  You can't explain it, you just know!

Father's Day is a day to honor and celebrate our Fathers so........

Thank you Daddy for your unconditional love that made me who I am today.  Thanks for all the many smiles and laughs you have created in my life time.  I love you more than you will ever know and I am proud to call you Daddy.

Thank you Bobby for being the best Dad to our two Sons Landon and Luke!  Thank you for showing that tough love when you knew that it would steer your child in the right direction to learn and grow up to be a child of God.  You are truly amazing and We love you!!!

If he don't look just like Bobby Denton! (I've heard this a couple of times in my lifetime)

Watch out Bright Beginnings Denton #2 has arrived!!

So at this point I am about 5 blogs behind.  Hopefully I will be able to catch up this weekend with all the drafts that I have started (if I am lucky).  So I had to capture Luke's first day at daycare.  He started June 14th at Bright Beginnings with his big Brother.  I will have to say it was much easier taking Luke to daycare on his first day versus taking Landon.  A lot of it has to do with the piece of mind knowing that I am dropping him off in good hands!  So I know you are wondering how it was getting two ready and getting to work on time for me?  Well I was feeling good because I had both kids ready on time, bottles made and packed, I remembered to take pasies, diapers, wipes, and blanket, and I was on target to get to work on time.  So I pulled up to daycare feeling pretty proud of myself until I realized I forgot to get the bottles out of the refrigerator!!  All of you reading this are probably saying that is so Mindy and you are right!  Wouldn't be right if I didn't forget something.  Anyway Luke didn't have a problem with going right into the arms of Mrs. Amanda.  He just loves getting hugs and kisses!!  He has been ever since.  Landon walks with me to drop Luke off in his classroom every morning.  He is so proud of his little Brother.  It will be no time when Luke graduates preschool just like his big brother and I will be looking back at this blog thinking (they grow up so fast)!!

Funny Faces & Funny Stories

Landon absolutely LOVES to make people laugh.  I have no doubt in my mind that one day he will hold the title for class clown when he gets to school.  As always I love to share his cute little stories and try to blog them #1 to make you laugh and #2 so that one day when he gets big I will be able to share these funny memories with him and his family. Here is a cute little story that would be so cute in the Family Circle funny paper.  Well Friday Landon didn't go to school because he had a little diarrhea.  He started off the morning yelling for his Mommy (of course it was when I was feeding Luke) to clean up something on the floor.  Daddy beat me to the so called mess and said that it looked like pee on the floor.  Well I thought nothing of it until Landon was walking out the door and he said that he needed to change his underwear for the second time.  Now we were on to something not normal so I thought it would be good for him to stay home.  Of course Landon was excited because he was getting to skip school and because he really wasn't feeling bad at all!  At this point I still needed to get ready for work and Landon usually watches over Luke while I am in the shower.  Before getting in the shower I said to Landon, "don't get in Luke's face in case you are sick."  Yes you guessed it..... I got that look of deep thought and he replied with his head shaking, "Mama, I don't have my butt in his face?"  You can't get nothing by this kid!! Here are some of his funny faces that he makes.

He loves to make a crazy face when I am taking a picture so that he can look at it afterwards and laugh at himself
Roarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Waiting on Addison Leigh

So I have been meaning to write a blog about my little sister being pregnant with the first girl grandchild on the Kearney side of the family for some time now. After going through four boys, the good Lord knew that it was time to send us Kearney girls a little princess! I think deep down we all knew that if we were going to have a little girl to spoil it was going to have to come from Aunt Casey and Uncle Adam. Well the time has come and little Addison Leigh is not too far from entering this world!! I CANNOT wait to see this pretty little girl. The many ultrasounds that she has had done have given some of her features away (she definitely has her daddy's lips!) and has made it even harder to wait for that moment of her existence here in my arms! Yes Casey (in my arms) lol!!  Below is Casey's belly bump!  Little Addison Leigh is growing every day and is ready to see her Aunt Mindy :)

I Heart you already!!

Im 3 months Old

6/10/2010 Luke Allen was 3 months old.  It seems like just yesterday I was sitting down to write his 2 month old blog. I remember last month just wanting my little Luke to smile and giggle at everything that I said and did.  Well the time has come that Luke wakes up smiling and cooing at whoever talks to him.  He is definitely a morning baby just like his brother.  He is getting a little more feisty when you try to burp him the first time.  Not sure if he is just going through a growth spurt and really wants his milk or if his personality is just starting to shine!!  Overall he is still a great laid back little man.  Here are a few more things about Luke Allen.
*my eyes are starting to look a little more brown
*Monday I start daycare at Bright Beginnings with my brother.  My cousin Connor is moving up and I am taking his crib!  I'm sure I will follow his footsteps
*I still want my bottle every 3-4 hours during the day.  At night sometimes I go a little longer
*I drink 4-5 oz. with every bottle feeding
*I am the happiest after I have had a nap and a bottle!  I will sometimes spend 1-2 hours trying to talk to whoever will listen.
*I get really fussy around 7:30 every night and I like for my Mommy to take me outside until I fall asleep in her arms.
*My brother just adores me.  He likes to make sure I have my passey nearby in case I get fussy.
*My Mommy, Daddy, and Brother love me so much!!!

My Boys!!

Just thought I would share some pictures of my boys!  I may be a little biased but I would have to say I have the two cutest boys in the world!!!  I am so blessed to have these two sweethearts in my life! Landon loves Luke to lay in the bed with him in the mornings and Luke loves for his brother to join him at playtime on his play mat.  Me and Landon have the best time giggling at Luke when he tries to talk to us in the mornings.  I think he is really trying to tell us something.  I guess we will have to wait til he grows up a little more before we know what he really wants to tell us.

Still happy.............
I love my brother!!!!

Rose's Gymnastics Parent Day

Landon has been going to Rose's Gym for some time now.  Every Thursday morning the gym sends a bus to Bright Beginnings to pick up a handful of kids so that they can go and learn new skills as well as release some of that bottled up energy that they all have!  This past week was Landon's last session at Rose's Gym before he goes to kindergarten.  I sure am going to miss Thursday mornings motivation to get Landon out of bed at a decent time and I know that Mrs. Angela is going to miss her quiet Thurs morning with half of her class missing!!  Last week at their last session they had Parents week where the kids have a chance to show off their skills to their parents.  They went through four rotations where they showed off their skills on the balance beam, floor, hanging ropes, and some jumping thing(not sure what it was called).  Landon did a great job on all his rotations.  He was a little shy at the end when he was supposed to raise his hands and look at the crowd but I guess that is understandable when you have about 40 parents staring at you!!

This is Landon's sidekick, Boman, at school and Gymnastics
Here is the entire group showing off their medals at the end of the show.  They are all so proud of each other
Landon and Boman getting a little bored waiting for everyone to go through their rotation.  They really would rather be moving!!
I had to add this picture in. I cant wait to show him this when he gets older because he looks like he is doing a ballerina move!
