Monkeys Aren't the Only Animals that Climb in Trees

Papa had the bright idea of climbing trees in the backyard. That is right up my alley so of course I was in!! Papa even climbed up to help me out so I wouldn't fall. I had a great time Sunday with Grandma Sue-Sue and Papa. We did a little bit of everything. Most of all we just played!!!

Papa Showing Me new Tricks!!

Mama and Daddy had to work Sunday so I spent the day with Grandma Sue-Sue and Papa. Me and Papa played outside for a long time. Grandma Sue Sue got a shot of me after I mastered the tree climbing. Thanks Grandma Sue-Sue and Papa for keeping me. I had so much fun!!

Future Baseball Pro

Mommy pulled out my new tee ball set that was given to me last year for my birthday. I wasn't quite big enough then but I am now!!! Me, Mom, and Dad have really enjoyed playing ball in the backyard. We take turns hitting, pitching, and getting each other out. I am so fast that they usually cannot catch up with me. Mommy writes, "Landon is really coordinated and can hit that ball. He amazes me more and more each day. He likes for me to chase after him and try to throw him out. Most of the time I miss but if I luck up and get him out he always pouts. Landon has been known to cheat a little by skipping the bases and taking short cuts. I can't wait until he starts playing with a real tee ball team. I can see me now hooting and hollering when my baby hits a home run!! Little boys are so much fun!!! Press Play to watch Landon at bat.

Going Green........

We had to spread out mulch first before we could plant the beautiful flowers. I wanted to use the big rake because I am a big boy. The stepping stones in the back were painted so that the kids could draw pictures on them with side walk chalk. I didn't last long because I really had a much better time playing on the playground.

Going Green......

Mommy's work does a Project Green each year. They decided to spruce up the Partnership for Children's playground by building a butterfly garden. Here I am helping Summer plant some flowers that will attract all the butterflies so that the children can see them fly. I was a lot of help and Mrs. Summer was really patient with me. She has kids too!!

Outside Fun

One thing that I really enjoy is playing in our homemade sandbox in the back yard. There use to be a swimming pool in our backyard and when we pulled it down there was a lot of sand left. Just enough to make me a sandbox. I like to dig holes with my sand toys and sometimes I get my John Deere bulldozer to fill the holes back in. Its a lot of fun!

Me and Mommy

Here is a picture of Me and Mommy. Mommy hardly ever gets a picture with me because she is the one always chasing me down to capture a special moment.

Surfs Up Dude

Here is Landon showing off his new easter bathing suit and scuba shirt from Grandma Sue Sue. He is practicing his surfing technique for the beach!! Press Play!!!

Pooped!

Landon was so pooped after playing hard all day! He immediately fell asleep as soon as the car started rolling. He didn't sleep long.... he was up and running around again once the car stopped. Me, Daddy, & Landon played some baseball when we got home. Landon is an awesome hitter and runner. Can't wait til tee ball starts!

Cool Daddy on the Dino

Peyton wanted to ride on the Green Dinosaur so he ran to his own!! He really liked this ride (he rode it three times.)

Dinosaur Fun

Landon and Lexi on the Pink Dinosaur ride!!

Soon To Be Pirates!!

Saturday Me, Landon, Shell, Connor, Melissa, Casey, and Lexi packed up and headed to the Pig Skin Pigout for a day of fun! Landon and Peyton were so excited that they got a chance to hang out with Lexi. With our busy lives we hardly ever get a chance to spend time with her. We got a chance to ride the whales, cars, dinosaurs, and the train. Later we sat down for a break and enjoyed corndogs and lemonade for lunch. After our day at the Pigout we all headed to Lexi's house for more fun. Landon, Peyton, and Lexi ran all over the house and played with Lexi's toys in her playroom. Hopefully there will be many more days like this!!

Strange Things Gobbling Around Our House

So here is the story about this Turkey on our back porch. Grandaddy Steve took in two turkeys (male and female). Somehow the male never made it in the cage and the female manage to escape. Ever since the escape the mama has found her new home on our back porch. I think the daddy is hiding in the woods until turkey season is over! Maybe he will come join the mama in May?

Well I guess all that hunting pays off (that is if you are a hunter.) Bobby shot this turkey last week weighing in at 22 1/2 pounds. For you hunters out there the turkey had a 10 inch beard and over inch long spurs. My favorite part of turkey hunting is the meal afterwards!! Bobby prepared a wonderful dinner with sauteed turkey, onions, and peppers. It was great!!

It's Turkey Season Around the Denton House!

Landon was all dressed to go to school when he realized that Daddy was putting on his camouflage to go hunt a turkey. He immediately had to change his clothes to look like Dad and asked "Can I go, Do I have to go to school?" Dad gave in and they rode around looking for turkeys before going to school. Everyone at school said Landon and his dad looked like army men.

Being Boys

Me and Dad play fighting on the GREEN grass. Yes you guessed it I got grass stains on my new pants and Mommy has no idea how to get it out. Got any ideas?

Me and Dad

I am patiently waiting for Dad to reel in my kite after it nose dived into the open field.

Easter Day

Well today has been a blast! I woke up to my Easter basket full of goodies. Me, Mommy, and Daddy went to church to hear a great message and then we went to Grandma Sue Sue and Papa's house for lunch. To my surprise Casey, Adam, Shelly, Kessler, Connor, and Peyton were all there too! I was so excited to show Peyton what I got in my Easter basket. Papa was cooking chickens for everyone and Grandma Sue Sue had some goodies laying out for us to grab. Grandma Sue Sue had a treasure chest full of stuff for me and Peyton for our Easter baskets. She is always giving us the coolest stuff!! After we all ate Daddy, Adam, and Kessler took us out to fly our kites. They went way up high. I told daddy to bring mine down before it flew up too high to Jesus. I didn't want to loose it! The wind didn't last long so we took a break from kite flying. Next was the Easter egg hunt. Grandma Sue Sue labeled each egg with a "L" for Landon or a "P" for Peyton so that they could learn their letters and most of all so that they had an even number of eggs. To my surprise this worked well because we really helped each other find all the eggs!! We are not done yet........Next we went across the street to Aunt Kay's house. Me and Peyton had a ball playing with our cousin Kayley. We played hide and seek outside forever. We visited with Papa's side of the family and ate a little more candy! Uncle Guy gave me and Peyton some nerds!! Last to top the day off me and Papa went riding on Matt's new Razor (kind of like a dune buggy). We rode and rode til I finally gave out and fell asleep. I just couldn't go any longer I was all played out!

Dressed to Impress

Me, Bobby, and Landon went to Covenant Church this morning. We really enjoyed the service and Landon had a great time in the garden. Landon was sporting his sear sucker pants and polo shirt with his sunglasses hanging from his neck. I'm a little bias but I think he is going to be a heartbreaker when he grows up!!!

Easter Bunny Fun!

I had to wake Landon up this morning to let him know that Jesus did send the
Easter Bunny!! He was so excited when he saw what was in his basket. He responded, "wow that sure is a lot." The Easter Bunny brought Landon His very own Bible, a Spiderman kite, Chutes and Ladders game, a knight & horse kit, a book, and candy. Landon wanted to open it all at one time (of course). We started with the knight and horse first and worked our way through the rest. We didn't have time to play our new game because we had to get ready for church!

Busy Two Days

Well it has been a few weeks since Me and Landon have visited our site. We are on the couch right now watching cartoons and eating ham and cheese biscuits before the Easter bunny arrives. Landon has had a busy last two days. He was out of school on Friday so Landon and I spent the day with Aunt Shelly, Peyton, and Connor. We went outside and enjoyed the nice warm weather. Landon and Peyton played on Peyton's new swing set, blew bubbles, and played in the sprinkler and puddles. They had so much fun driving their dump trucks through the puddles and getting grass stuck to them from their head to their toes. I had to run the bath water twice to get all the grass out from the two boys. Friday night Grandaddy (Steve) and Grandma (Shirley) took Landon and Peyton to the circus at the Pitt County fair grounds. Landon said he saw elephants, donkeys, motorcycles in a cage, acrobats (like superman he says), clowns, and more. They had a great time!! Landon spent the night with his Grandma and Grandaddy Friday night while Me and Bobby were at Potters Wheel for the kickoff of Fulfillment Fest.

This morning Landon woke up ready to go again!! Grandma Shirley had another day planned for Landon and Peyton. It's time for Easter egg hunting!! (I think Landon and Peyton are beginning to be pros at this Easter egg hunting thing) They headed out to Red Oak Church for their annual Easter egg hunt for the kids. Landon said that his basket was full!! He found a hidden carrot and won some rabbit ears.

Well me and Landon are getting tired. We are going to bed to read a book about the real meaning of Easter. Landon said that Jesus was sending the Easter bunny tonight!!!! Kids are so great!!!!! Hopefully I will be able to post some more pictures soon. Until then Good Night!!
