So guys I have a confession. I am addicted to coupons and finding deals!! Ever since Elizabeth introduced me to southernsavers.com I haven't been able to turn back. (It's all your fault Elizabeth lol!)To be quite honest I really enjoy trying to find deals and sharing them with everyone. The only thing that I hate is that it takes up all of what "use to be" my blogging time. Sometimes I have to weigh out what is necessary and what is not. Saving money right now is necessary :) I'll learn how to balance them both when I become the coupon queen!! So enough of that and on to my AWESOME deals for the day at Rite Aid and CVS. I am so excited about all of this that I felt that it was blog worthy. My first stop was Rite Aid. I will be honest, this does take some patients and time to figure out but when you do it is so rewarding. I spent at least two hours last night trying to put together a plan of action before I went in for the kill!! Now for the good part.....what did I get and how much did I spend? I know that picture is hard to see so I am going to list it all out.
7 packs of Huggies diapers
1 pack of bounty paper towels (8 rolls)
1 large bottle of Clorox clean up
1 box of Clorox wipes
1 bottle of Pinesol
1 bottle of Liquid Plumr
2 ThermaCare Heat packs for you back
1 Advil 100 count
1 Advil congestion (10 count)
1 Dimetapp
2 colgate 360 toothbrushes
1 Colgate toothpaste
2 bottles of Herbal Essence shampoo
2 boxes of Betty crocker mashed potatoes (each had 2 packs)
3 boxes of cereal (Cinnamon toast crunch, Fiber One, lucky Charms
1 box of Nature Valley Bars
2 bags of holiday Hershey kisses
1 bag of Hershey Bliss
All of this for 42.01 out of my pocket!!!!
I added it all up separately and it came to 147.50 before taxes!
I know you are wondering how in the world did I pull that off? I don't think I can go through every transaction but I will give some helpful hints. On Rite Aid's website you can sign up to get coupons. All you have to do is watch a short 30 second-1 minute video on whatever product you want to get a coupon for. This coupon can be used in addition to a manufacturers coupon. So really you can use two coupons for some of your items. Also when you reach 20 points (basically watch 20 videos) you will get a coupon for $4 off of $20. That always helps as well. Southernsavers.com is also a big help. She basically does all the work for you and tells you where to find the coupon that you need. So on to my second deal at CVS. This one is smaller so I can be more specific here.
This week CVS had their Oral-B electronic toothbrushes on special for $23 and you get $13 back in Care bucks. Well Conveniently there was a $10 coupon in last Sundays paper that made this offer free! The Fiber One bars were on special for 3.99 and you get $ 3 back and the Froot Loops were 2 for $4 with $1 Care Bucks Back. So this is what my receipt looked like
Froot Loop $2
Froot Loop $2
OB Toothbrush $23
Fiber One $3.89
-$10 from manu coupon
-$5 (CVS sent to me in email $5 off of $30 purchase)
-1.50 (kellogs coupon)
total 16.06 and I got back $17 in Care Bucks ($13 tootbrush, $1 Cereal, $3 fiber one)
I made money to shop at CVS!!!! yeah
