We Love Family!!!

Having cousins has got to be the coolest thing in the world!!!  Me, Landon, and Luke are always looking for something to do on the weekends and 99% of the time we end up at either Casey or Michelle's house!  The coolest thing is that we can show up anytime that we want to and we are always welcomed!!  Luke and Addison are only 4 months apart and they play so well together.  They keep each other entertained for hours and for the Mommy's that is GREAT!!  Adam keeps Landon busy most of the time when he is around or should I say Landon keeps Adam busy!!  Here are a few pictures of some play dates and a video of Landon and Adam playing football (in the house!!)

Luke Loves to put anything on his head!  Addison's hat just so happened to be laying around so he thought he should sport it around.
A little backwards here!  Luke you are supposed to be pushing Addison!  Whatever works!
Addison playing with the dump truck that we gave her for Christmas!
1 years old and already wanting to play video games!  They found this pair of Leapfrogs and thought they were just something else
Luke and Addison going for a ride!  Hold on Addison I drive a little crazy!
Everybody Loves Uncle Adam!  Landon is in his element here trying to make a touchdown past Adam! Look who wins!

Warm Winter Days!

I really cannot believe how warm this past Winter has been.  These pictures were taken in January and neither on of my kids have on coats and Landon even has on short sleeves!  Luke just figured out how to climb up the swing set to get to the slide.  You should have seen the smile on his face when he realized that he just learned something new!  They both just love the outdoors and playing, playing, playing!

 First Step
 Second Step!!
 Third Step!!!
For Christmas Luke got a brand new battery powered Jeep.  He hasn't quite gotten the hand of it so he settles for his four wheeler that I got at a yard sale for $5!  Thats a bargain!!
Here is Landon being silly swinging in Luke's swing!  He is such a silly boy!
Got a picture of Luke's profile through the wooden steps!  Love close up pictures!

2011-2012 Tarheel Basketball Season

This was the first year that Landon played recreation basketball and what do you know his teams name was the Tarheels!!  For our family, cheering for the Tarheels is a must (especially when Landon is on the team!)  I will have to say that their team didn't quite play like the Tarheels but those little boys gave it their all!  Landon is quite the athlete on the court but we would all agree that he could work on his shooting skills just a little more for the next basketball season!!  He averaged about 2-3 goals for each game and when he was on the floor he always had the ball!!  A bit of a ball hog but hey how are you going to get better if you don't have the ball in your hand!  lol!!  Unfortunately Landon and Peyton were not on the same team this year but they did get to play against each other!  It's always good to have the entire family out to cheer them both on!  All Landon was worried about was beating Peyton..Imagine that!!  After the basketball season was over we took the kids to Pizza Inn for some fun!!

Landon guarding Peyton as he dribbles the ball!
Landon can get that ball down the court in no time!  Now if he could only make the basket!
Landon Dribbling down the court again
Not sure about this face!  Landon enjoying his favorite Chocolate Chip Pizza!!
Landon and Peyton are trying to tickle Addison.  She thinks they are so funny!
Me and Luke having fun on the hobby horse.  Kids just love this place!

Are You Ready for some Football??

2011 State Farm Bears
So one thing that I absolutely love is going to any of Landon's games (no matter what sport) and stand on the sidelines as his biggest fan!  This is Landon's first year playing flag football with the Winterville Parks and Rec.  Landon was so fortunate to be on the State Farm Bears team with two awesome coaches.  He has the cutest little team and several of his teammates were either on one of his baseball teams in the past or in his kindergarten class last year.  So to recap some of Landon's highlights from this years games.
*He inherited the nickname "Midget".  Partly because he is the shortest and smallest player on the team and partly because there were 2 other Landon's on his team.
*He is an awesome offensive player!  He was the first to those flags on many occasions
*Landon scored two touchdowns in one game (thats the limit in flag football)
*Landon loves the game of football and learned a lot about the rules and how play the game.

Landon was #2 this year for the Bears.
Focused and running his little heart out to get a touchdown!
Coach Reynolds huddled up with his team before the next play
 DOWN........
 SET.......
 HIKE!!!

Luke is his Brother's biggest fan as well.  He sat on the 20 yard line and just watched his Brother run up and down the field during one of his games.  I can't wait until Luke gets in on some of this action!!  It want be long and I will be cheering him on from the sidelines too!

Bathtub Fun!

A few months ago Casey & Adam asked me to keep Addison while they went to their Dave Ramsey financial class at Covenant.  Of Course I was delighted and Luke on the other hand was EXCITED!!  They played their little hearts out and as always Addison just laughed and laughed at Luke.  After dinner we went for some splash fun in the bathtub!  They laughed and talked to each other as if they knew exactly what they were saying to each other!  Here is just a touch of their fun!
Luke smiling after he just made a big splash by standing up and quickly falling back into the water
Addison gets a kick out of everything Lukie Luke does
I think they are coming up with a plan of attack!  Looks like Luke is filling Addison in on whatever it may be!

They are just too cute!!

After we got diapers and pajamas on I took Luke and Addison for a beanbag ride.  They really enjoyed wearing my back and legs out lol!

Luke and Addison had so much fun together.  When it was time to leave little Addison ran for her life because she didn't want to go.  I think her Daddy finally caught up with her and she just cried and cried.  Although I hate to see little Addison cry, I know she was crying because she didn't want to leave her MIMI! :)

Taking pictures is therapy or my "get away" from all the worries and issues that the world seems to  throw at you and lately I've had my share of them!!  One day last week I was in need of some therapy so I took a small trip around my yard looking for anything that would catch my attention.  To my surprise I found quite a few interesting things that I wasn't looking for!  First I stumble upon a small green snake in my drive way.  I thought it was sun bathing because it laid there motionless even as I slowly crept up on it.  As I focused closer through my lens I noticed that it was wounded and most likely dead.  I thought with that wound and him being motionless it was OK to take both eyes of him long enough to get a photo!  As I looked through my lens to get the shot suddenly that nasty spider below appeared as well!! Here I am trying to take peaceful pictures of nature and I stumble across two things that I dislike the most, snakes and spiders!!! I was quickly reminded that God created everything and even the things that we think are bad or not right was created in his perfect image.  I will praise him in this storm and I will lift my head!!  Here are a few scripture that I found

"God saw everything that he had made, and indeed, it was very good." (Genesis 1:31)

"Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made." (John 1:3)

"Praise the Lord from the heavens, praise him in the heights above. Praise him, all his angels, praise him, all his heavenly hosts. Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, all you shining stars. Praise him, you highest heavens and you waters above the skies. Let them praise the name of the Lord, for he commanded and they were created. He set them in place for ever and ever; he gave a decree that will never pass away." (Psalm 148:1-6)

I did capture this yellow flower coming out of the ground with a insect inside.  Thought it was pretty cool!!
