PeeWee Ball 2011

This is the first year that Landon started playing peewee ball.  Him and Peyton were fortunate enough to be on the same team called the Winterville BB&T Buck's.  In Peewee the ball is pitched to them instead of hitting off of a tee.  When I first saw how fast the machine pitched I thought that Landon would never hit the ball.  Boy was I wrong!!  It is so amazing how these kids just pick up where they left off and get better each year.  Landon did a great job in all of his games hitting and fielding the ball.  He even got a few outs and loved every minute of it!!  Here are some pictures of him playing this past season.
Waiting for the ball to come his way
Landon fielded the ball at shortstop and he is looking to get an out at first!
Will someone please get a hit and run me in?????

I'm ready for anything that comes my way!
Being the littlest on the team doesn't mean you can't hit.  Landon knocked several to the outfield!!
He got a hold of that one!

Luke wanted to play ball too!!

Little Addie came out with her ball cap on to see her cousins play ball too!

Another Milestone for Landon!

I have been working for a few weeks on helping Landon ride his bicycle without his training wheels.  I will have to admit I was a lot more scared than Landon ever thought about being when I was running along side of him.  I was so afraid he was going to fall and hurt himself!  This is when Daddy's tough love comes into play.  I thought it would work out a whole lot better if Bobby ran along side of him a couple of times.  Well what do you know Bobby gave him ONE push and he was off.  I was so proud that Landon completed another milestone!  I think he was really proud of himself as well!  So of course the first run was stopped by falling off and several more after that were as well.  One even ended by Landon running into Luke sitting in his stroller.  (Luke looked at him like he was crazy!) Now we have to work on getting started on his own, stopping with his brakes, and learning tricks!  Bobby use to be a trickster on his bicycle and I know he can't wait to teach Landon all of those things that he use to do.  He has already started!

Here we go!  Bobby is helping Landon get started with a push off
Look at me! I can ride my bike.  When he fell of the first time he said, "this is too easy!" Getting mighty brave!
Bobby showing off some of his bicycle skills.  Landon was loving it!
He hasn't lost his skills.  He was doing all kinds of tricks with flip flops and a bicycle that was too little for him!
Luke was proud of Bra-Bra even if he did run into his stroller!

Guess Who is One??

It is so hard to believe that one whole year has gone by since Luke Allen was born.  Time has really flown by and we have loved every minute of watching Luke grow into a little boy!  I really had a good time going through all my pictures and picking the one that showed his growth over the year.  I hope you all enjoy!

My first taste of cake and I loved it!!  It didn't take me but a second to figure out that the yellow stuff went in my mouth!!
Other things about Luke @ 1
*Weighs 21 pounds
*Not walking yet but I can stand on my own when I want.  I have thought about it but crawling seems to be easier
*I have three teeth and one coming (two on bottom and 1 on top)
*I am eating table food and I love meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and waffles for breakfast
*I can say ball, dada, mama, and my favorite is duck.  Everything that I point at I call a duck!
*I am only drinking three bottles and my mommy is attempting to switch me over to whole milk.  I'm not too big on the whole milk yet but I am getting use to it
*I like playing on my floor with all of my toys.  If you play music I will usually start dancing for you!
I'M A MESS!!!

Birthday Party Time!

Now a days with two kids there are just not enough free weekends to get all the things that we have planned in.  So to cut down on one more birthday party that we would have to attend Me and my sister decided to have our kids birthday parties together!  We decided that Luke and Connor would love to be outside enjoying the warm weather and playing so we had the party at a local park.  We went with a race car theme mainly because Connor likes any type of car or truck.  Luke just went along with it...he is like his Mommy easy to please!  We had an awesome pair of race car cupcake cakes that were made by Landon's teacher Mrs. Biggs.  The kids played their little hearts out and had a great time!

Connor smiling as we sang "Happy Birthday"
I thought this was the cutest cake ever! You can't get any better than doughnut wheels and kit kat engines!
This is the second cake
Grandma Shirley helping Luke down the slide.  He was having a ball!

Luke and Addison had a great time swinging
My first cup cake!  Mommy can eat them a lot faster than I can!!
Luke loved his new books that he got from his Aunt Laura
Bubbles are always a blast!  Connor was trying to knock them down before I could even get them in the air

I love this picture of Addison and Peyton.  They are both just too sweet!

After the party we attempted to get a picture of all the grand kids and somehow we are always missing Connor.  One day he will cooperate and we will have them all together but until then we will have to settle for a picture with these 4 beautiful kids!!

Tarheels Versus Wolfpack

Back in January Bobby and Landon scored a pair of Carolina vs State Tickets from Bobby's Uncle Danny and Aunt Donna.  They have season tickets to the Carolina basketball games and when they cannot go they they make sure someone fills their two seats by giving them away to family.  As you all know Bobby is a HUGE Carolina fan so you know what that means....Landon is too!!  This was Landon's first ACC basketball game and he loved it!  Thanks Donna and Danny for a great time!!!

Are these tickets real??  LOL
